The Girl Everyone Wants To Cosplay

Jinx

League of Legends has long been a cosplayer’s dream. The designs of the characters—over 140 of them—make for amazing costume ideas. You’ve got Garen and Leona with their massive armors, Sona with her “etwahl” instrument, and Vladimir with his wonderfully gothic red attire. And that’s obviously just a small sample of them.

But we all know the character that’s been booming with popularity lately. Thanks to Arcane, even people who barely know League have found a mascot character to adapt to the real world.

And her name is Jinx.

Jinx

With the popularity of Harley Quinn as a cosplay choice, it was a no-brainer this would happen. Everyone loves a deranged villain with a chaotic esthetic. And Jinx is all that plus being a tinkering inventor with a love for spray paint. People who like to make their props will have a field day working on her minigun Pow-Pow and the oh-so-dramatic rocket launcher Fishbones. And people who like costume design get to have a blast—pun intended—blending her video game and Arcane outfits, which, while not all that different, do have a few mix-and-match options—not to mention all her in-game skins. The biggest challenge for cosplaying Jinx, however, might be making (and attaching) fake hair long enough for those pigtails.

It’s a challenge worth doing, though. It just might take a little inventiveness. So, get yourself a cupcake, play “Get Jinxed” as you prepare, and bring a little of the Undercity to your next convention.
