Edge of Eternities Has Plenty For Sci-Fi Cosplay

Edge of Eternities Is The Magic Set For Science Fiction Cosplay

Magic: The Gathering is great for fantasy cosplayers—as I have pointed out multiple times—but besides a few cards, it’s never had much to appeal to the science fiction fans. And though the two are often lumped together when talking about genres, they are very different in a lot of ways.

But now, those who want to cosplay science fiction characters can find plenty to work with. The newest Magic set, Edge of Eternities, is set in space, with aliens, technology, and ships. There are both humans with distinct outfits and armor, and alien species for those who want to build the whole dang cosplay from scratch.

Consider the Illvoi, a jellyfish-like species. Their heads alone would be difficult to recreate, and that’s not counting all the other unique features they have.

Or the Lobsterfolk, who look like a particular animal I don’t think I need to clarify. Going off Ragost’s art, they are fairly big compared to humans, and have a lot of details to figure out for a cosplay.

And there’s so much more on top of that. Like most Magic sets, Edge of Eternities has a ton of detailed, fun worldbuilding that goes into the cards, and with such a vibrant sci-fi setting, I’m sure one piece of art or another will entice cosplayers who hadn’t considered the fandom before. I’m looking forward to what they create.
